Who are all these people???
eWeek has published the '10 Most powerful women in IT'. Although I have read about only few of them in the above list, this triggered me to read about the rest whom I am unaware of. I always dream big (most of us do :)) and now I am thinking 'Atleast after a decade, will I be in this list?' :):):)

This week has become a 'Management week' for me. With piles of Management magazines (Forbes, Harvard Business Review, Entreprenuer, Smart Business) at my desk, I did get a chance to read a book (apart from the Magazines galore) called 'It's your ship'. It's simply superb...It's a book that I would suggest people who like leadership and Management (I'm one among them) There's a saying - 'Leaders are born and not made' but I don't agree with this. There are exceptions in each case. And the strategies that Captain Michael Abrashoff has given, is worth reading.

The best thing that I enjoyed reading it is 'Knock out the standard procedures' - This is one of the mantra that I follow. I could relate most of my ideas with whatever he has written. Obviously then, I am supposed to say 'It's a damn good book and guide to grassroots leadership'.
I cherished being in the captain's crew by reading it and felt 'It's your ship' an interesting and insightful one.

Apart from all these M-strategies, I've started writing my own favourite topic called PDP (Sounds like GDG (for Mainframers :)) and GDP (for economists)) . I don't want to give details about it now. Check that out in my coming blogbusters :)
