Luck Vs Fate

Does any English dicionary define Luck = Fate? Check it out! Oxfords, Websters can help you out!

Most of us want to be a master of our own destiny. But can one decide their own fate? Answer is yes and no :) Fate is something that decides the succession of events which is an uncontrolling power. Luck, on the other hand comes at random. Say, for example - You din't prepare a topic for your Digital Design exam in which that topic is considered to be the most important and a sure shot question in the exam. When all your other friends have read it 5/6 times and it din't appear in your exam, everyone is surprised. But you are the only one to be happy sitting in your exam table. Do you call it as luck or Fate? Obviously, it's luck!!! Luck is chance that happens at random. But fate occurs with choices and limits.

What guides us to our destiny? This is a question of introspection and a topic debatable. Although we can set goals and strive hard to get them, there is no guarantee that we will achieve what we desired. What has to happen, will happen. Say for example, you are planning to go to your favourite restaurant thinking about all the food there when you drive. You are going there after a long time and you are excited to taste all that you like. But you came to know that it's closed after you arrive there. You will definitely be disappointed after yearning for the taste buds. Will you think it as a good luck or bad luck? It's neither bad luck nor fate! You could have called the restaurant and enquired whether they will be open. It was under your control which you failed to act upon!

My view is 'Get disappointed and devastated only when something that you desired went out of you which was under your control. If something is not under your control and it went out of your hands, be cheerful and wait for tne next opportunity'. I know, It's easy said than done! Don't think of the outcome before you try. Unless you knock the door, it won't open. That's the way you create opportunities. Isn't it?

A small real life example here:
I was talking to one of my friends about my blogs and the blogs that I read frequently. In my lexicon, frequently is daily :) I was telling her that 70% of the blogs that I peek @, has had no updates for sometime and they have stopped blogging. We both were making fun of each other saying - 'Namma blogs dhaan neraya peru padikka maetengranga, naamalavadhu ivanga blogsa padikalamna, ivangalum stop pannitanga..All fate!' Although we weren't worried, we felt a bit of disappointment. But we both reiterated the same thing after few mins, 'It's not under our control and there's no need to get disappointed' Chillax!!!

And I am gonna continue my blogging as it's my passion...
It's time to work out! See you all in my next blog post!
