The 'I' tag

Not many of my friends blog and hence I dont get tagged often. So, I end up in tagging myself which is sometimes boring and so may be this one.

I am less talkative than people think I am
I think I might have been a Hitler during my last birth. What you sow is what you reap :)
I know the best and worst things in life comes through experience. Experience the experiences ;)
I want to watch Wimbledon live, this year
I have musical keyboard and accesories which is frequently seen and rarely touched by me
I wish I become a globetrotter
I hate girls who does a lot of make-up and lot of gossip
I miss those childhood days when I knew nothing other than school, TV and playground
I fear when I see snakes in dreams
I feel like going back in life and doing things afresh from the start
I hear music whenever I am awake
I smell flowers
I crave for publishing my first ever book (Not started writing though :))
I search for answers to questions in myself and let it go sometimes
I wonder why people loose relationship over money
I regret for not involved in any sporting activity for years
I love to be in touch with people I know
I ache when I see surgeries in TV
I care for anyone I know
I always like to smile when I see someone
I am thinking about buying groceries now :)
I believe that i can console anyone during bad times
I dance to any tune that I love
I sing when I am in a car, be it a passenger or a driver
I cry whenever I am extremely angry and cannot let it go
I don’t like to interfere in people's privacy
I fight for food sometimes with friends ;)
I write without thinking at times
I win is the not the usual words from me
I lose mostly is what I think but the sentence before comes later
I never hurt anyone intentionally
I confuse people when I am not sure about a thing
I listen to 80's tamil songs often
I can be seen active anytime around
I am scared of psychos and mentally affected
I need to buy a sunglass
I am happy whenever I get gifts

'The' moment

It's first in my lifetime - Watching an Oscar show live. I have never shown interest or watched it before, except reading about it the next day in newspapers. This time, it was different. Watched it with a gathering of friends and I felt like I was watching a cricket match. From the videos clicking on every man/woman present there till the best picture award, I watched it with utmost interest. Yes, there's a reason - For being a die-hard fan of ARR. When every category gets announced, I was making a prediction and most of the times I won with the poll results :) All those reviews in e-papers paved me to predict although I have not watched most of the nominated movies. Whenever Slumdog kids were shown on the camera, I was looking for the sweet little Jamal and was expressing my joy with eyes wide open saying 'there he is!' :) And the moment came where the category for original score nominations were announced. It was like a Indo-Pak match winning edge where I came to the edge of the chair telling...'He should win!' and he did. It was the most joyous and proudest moment when the mozart of Madras said 'Ella Pugazhum Iraivanukke' and for the next award on the 'Jai Ho' song, he said 'I always had a choice between love and hate in life. I chose love and I am here'. Wat a moment! Although most of the Indians agree that this musical was not ARR's best, we all take pride for the 'bourne fruit' for his hardwork on his journey. I am looking forward on his dream of Symphony Orchestra and I wish his dreams come true.

Still those moments on mind, I was happy as a fellow Indian to know another one on cards - The trio's perfomance in Chennai as a tribute to Martin Luther King III's visit. The trio is Kaviarasu Vairamuthu, Padmashri Kamalhasan and ARR's Music conservatory.

Chak de India & Jai ho!!!

No answers...

There are certain instances when you will feel 'Do I deserve this?' and end up with no answers. But when that certain becomes always, then there is a problem. Books that inject positive thoughts say people ask this question at their bad times and not at their good times when they achieve something. So, it's a problem with people's attitude which I strongly beg to differ. When there is an achievement, there are efforts behind and hence we never ask that question. But when there is trauma which is way beyond your control, we end up with that question. To the question, there are no answers yet :(

Proceeding with what you have and not asking that question is one thing that only people with strong hearts can do. If we look from the present and move backwards on the history pages, those people who were prone to that question but had strong hearts are those who were successful. Few examples, S.Jobs, A.Lincoln, Thomas Alva Edison, Ghajini Muhamad...

But still, I do not have answers to that question. Does anyone have or do you agree what I say?

The Explorers...

'You' is walking in a street...Dark, silent, alone...'You' looked around and prayed that he reaches his place safely. Mobile rings and 'you' picked. A beam of light came from the rear and 'you' is hit. Gone! After hours, 'you' opened his eyes but 'you' was not in a hospital. No people around. Again, a beam of light surrounds 'you' and 'you' screamed. Tears flowed from you's eyes and you's pressure went high. Few mins after, 'you' opened his eyes. A man with a turban comes before 'you' and asks:
MWT: 'Child, among these people, whom do you want to go with, to explore this space?'
You: Who are you?
MWT: I am from the dept. of C&D (Creation & Destruction)
You: What? Where am I?
MWT: You are in star gate XVII. Answer my question
You: Show me those people
MWT shows a group of people that includes Actor Nagesh, Kalpana Chawla, Martin Luther King, Don Bradman, Thomas Alva Edison, Ghajini Muhamad, Thiruvalluvar
You: Can you show me people from other category?
MWT waits for a second and gives order to a Genie to bring the other group of people.
Genie returns with a group of people that includes Captain Vijayakanth, Shakuntala Devi, Aung San Suu Kyi, Raefel Nadal, Steve Jobs, Prince Harry, Aravind Adiga
MWT: Tell me which group you would like to join
You: Do I need to choose a group? Why can't I choose only one person who's not in these groups?
MWT: Looks like an adhoc request...I will process it in my thinkpad and through the steering committee and let you know.
2 mins of silence and MWT returns
MWT: Wish granted...Choose one that you prefer.
'You' chooses the one he thought would make 'exploring' a great experience...Any guesses on whom did 'You' choose? Hint: Oscar
Look for the granted wish tomorrow :)

The 'Thumb' rule

I am not a great lover of pattimandrams or debate programmes but a programme like Neeya Naana tilts me sometimes and I did watch one good episode of NN yesterday. There's one episode that I loved much - Mothers & Daughters. And this latest one is about siblings on how they were/are before/after marriage. The youngest side of siblings quoted that the old ones just change 'topsy turvy' and dont look at their family like they did before in terms of finance, relationship, priorities etc., The oldest side of siblings said that they attain maturity after marriage and gets involved with someone with whom they are going to spend their entire life with, which comes as their preference over others. It was a healthy conversation between both sides and most of the instances that people talked looked so realistic. I am not on one side in particular would be a very diplomatic answer if someone asks me to take a side and talk about it :) Although I would end up agreeing with few things from the younger side like distance in relationship between siblings that comes after marriage life, the expectations and the cute little fights and advices which stands like a 'moodiya thirai' and sounds like that happened in the last jenma, I would definitely take a place on the older side to talk about it. As every other elder one in that arena told, it's the maturity and the preference that changes which at sometimes lead to emotional drama and yearn for those little things like 'You should not take my shirt' or 'the pillow fights' :)

I enjoyed the show and the thumb rule is 'Whatever changes in life, changes will never change and life goes on and on'.

The 'fight' club

I got this as a forward and I liked it...After the 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S' season, this is one that I had a good laugh. 'Laugh' through it now...

1. My wife sat down on the couch next to me as I was flipping channels.
She asked, 'What's on TV?'
I said, 'Dust.'
And then the fight started...

2. My wife was hinting about what she wanted for our upcoming anniversary.
She said, 'I want something shiny that goes from 0 to 100 in about 3 seconds.'
I bought her a weighing scale.
And then the fight started...

3. When I got home last night, my wife demanded that I take her someplace expensive...
So, I took her to a gas station..
And then the fight started...

4. My wife and I were sitting at a table at her high school reunion, and my wife kept staring at a drunken man swigging his drink as he sat alone at a nearby table.
I asked my wife, 'Do you know him?'
'Yes,' She sighed, 'He's my old boyfriend.
I understand he took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear he hasn't been sober since.'
'My God!' I said to my wife, 'who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?'
And then the fight started...

5. I took my wife to a restaurant. The waiter, for some reason, took my order first.
"I'll have the strip steak, medium rare, please."
He said, "Aren't you worried about the mad cow?"
"Naaah, she can order for herself."
And then the fight started...

6. A woman is standing & looking in the bedroom mirror.
She is not happy with what she sees and says to her husband,
'I feel horrible; I look old, fat and ugly. I really need you to pay me a compliment.'
The husband replies, 'Your eyesight's damn near perfect.'
And then the fight started...

7. I tried to talk my wife into buying a case of Kingfisher for $14.95.
Instead, she bought a jar of cold cream for $7.95.
I told her the beer would make her look better at night than the cold cream.
And then the fight started....

8. I asked my wife, "Where do you want to go for our anniversary?”
It warmed my heart to see her face melt in sweet appreciation.
"Somewhere I haven't been in a long time!" she said.
So I suggested, "How about the kitchen?"
And then the fight started....

Thoonga Povadhu Yaaru?

Ada naan dhaan :) I am not sure why this happens to me these days...:) It's a known fact that most of us usually fall asleep when it's exam time or during office hours but I am a different breed in this case. I have never fallen into these two categories. But nowadays, I am getting into this new trend of falling asleep whenever I try to watch a movie. And that too this happened for 3 days continuously - Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On Friday it was when I watched 'Rock On' but somehow I completed it the next day, On saturday it was 'Silambattam' (a good reason for falling asleep though, apdi oru bore, Simbuvoda vachukava aatatha paathum kooda thoongi vizhundhenna paathukonga :)), On Sunday for 13 going on 30!

Moral of the post: If I dont get sleep, I can switch on a TV and if I did not fell asleep while I was watching a movie, the film can be nominated for a filmfare award:)
P.S.: And the Venn diagram represents the % of movie scenes I watched :)
