Cricket Vs Dance

'Ek Khiladi Ek haseena' - I just saw this TV show promo in youtube. This show is about to be premiered in Colors TV (I did not know that there was one such existing) from Sept 26. It will be aired on Fridays & Saturdays at 9 P.M IST. What a combo to anchor - Wasim Akram and Sushmita Sen. And the six teams comprises of Sreesanth with Surveen Chawla, Harbhajan Singh with Mona Singh, Irfan Pathan with Ashima Bhalla, Dinesh Karthik with Nigar Khan, Nikhil Chopra with Barkha Bisht and Vinod Kambli with Shama Sikander. I don't know any of the lady pairs here except Ashima since she acted in a Tamil film with our PK Vijayakanth. As Sreesanth is a good dancer, it will be good to watch him performing here. But I am curious to watch one man here - Irfan Pathan as I am a great fan of him. Irfy, will you serve swingers in your dance too? ;) With a passion for cricket and dance, I am not going to miss this show. And here is the youtube promo video:

SS continued...

As I wished and quoted my top 3 favourites of SS, Ajeesh, Ravi and Rohit has cruised into the main round of Super Singer. But Bavadharani Ram did not make it :( Though most of them were not quite comfortable in singing the Western song trained by 'Malgudi' Shuba, each one of them ended up in a different tune and tempo. But it was good to watch and I started liking the verses of the song and here it is!

I want to be happy
But you are not happy
Till you make me happy too...
Life is not worth living
Unless you are giving
Let me make you happy too...
Pa Pa Pa ra ba ba tu tu......

I keep singing it in my own tune and tempo as others did and the good thing is there's noone here to judge me :):)

On 'I Peek @'

Not only I peek @ these blogs, but also I love reading them. Being an avid reader of these blogs, I just want to cite about these people/their blogs(writing) here.

Dan Lyon's - Peak of Parody. That's what I can say if I have to, in one line
Paddu's - A Tech geek who can talk about anything
Murali's - Man with a gifted voice
Jo's - Variety is his equipment
Saranya's - Simplicity is her genre
Hawkeye's - Realistic and his writing nature can make stomach splits ;)
Chinmayi's - Straight from the heart..no boundaries
Nilaraseegan's - His name has it...who can make beautiful kavidhaigal
MV's - Hailing from the same place of mine, this man has got clarity in his thoughts
Ram's - Keys in his hands and dhwani to your years...
PR's - Passionate to be different and mostly resides in his fictional world
Seth's - Lexicon of Marketing..Gives new dimensions to the Biz world
GK's - An Entrepreneur and a guru to most of the aspiring Entrepreneurs

If I had to choose my top 3 out of it, I would go for these...
1. MV's - "Clarity is Power" and there he is!!!
2. Chinmayi's - "Being what you are!" defines this lady
3. Murali's - Sometimes he sounds like KJY and sometimes like SPB but his voice says it all...

Way to go and keep blogging!

Stages 'n' Choices...

This Athma came to this world in the early 80's. Her life started with charishmatic smile quoting 'I wanna be an actress :)' when someone asks her what her future goal is? She can stand infront of the mirror the whole day like the man who stands in the entrance of VGP beach :) You could see a future 'wannabe' actress appreciating her beauty!

Although she said she wanted to be an actress, she could be seen with a whip and chalk board teaching her fellow neighbourhood kids for the sake of her pleasure in being a 'Guru', but to the resentment of those kids. This shows that she wanted to be a teacher!

Then she championed herself as a good sportswoman who can hold willows, racquets and push balls, others :) Maybe, she wanted to be a sportsperson!

Later stage, she entered into the arena of 'Oli' and 'Olye' (i.e. Music and Dance) where she showed her utmost involvement and expression. Oh...This time, she wanted to be a 'Kalaingi'!

Then, she carried her managing principles with her all the way and wanted to become an Entrepreneur. But, this never happened.

Again, goals changed as years passed by. Being proned to aging factor and singlehood, she has given up all the above and just concentrates on blogging and Musicking through blogs during her lesiure time....

Sweets attract her;
Dreams ruin her;
Water intimidates her;
Music soothes her;
Smile rejoices her;
Selfishness bothers her;
Friends mean a lot to her;
Likes being passionate;
Hates being dumb;
An early riser;
Addicted to coffee and Frozen thoughts;
Sees positive in everything;
Tries different things;
Takes life as it comes;

And excited to live - Thatzz me!!!!

Sharanu Siddhi...

As a start, I want to dedicate this song to Lord Vinayaga. This was the first ever carnatic song I learnt (3 years ago). I lost touch and trying to revive my passion towards Music. I had been groovy here and there and misspelt few words but I landed OK. Long way to go!

Super Singer

I have been watching this since it started. I did not even miss the training sessions by Sriram Parthasarathy, Deepan Chakraborthi and 'Malgudi' Shuba. Passion for music keeps me watching this show :) On the first 3 days of a week, when I come from work and after doing all my casual to-do things, with a sip of tea, I would sit and watch this and talk about the intricacies to myself. After watching it for so many days, I have got my own favourites list from the participants category -
1. Ravi - whom people talk about a lot and think that he would be the STAR of this show - I totally agree that he has a great voice but he's a pro and hence I don't see anything notable in him doing it with ease. He comes last in my list although I have quoted him first
2. Ajeesh - A flawless singer when it comes to melodies but he cannot take the western type things with great comfort. He's second in my list
3. Rohit - He's my top favorite who is in the PSG band but not a pro. But he has got his own style which I like the most
4. Bavadharini Ram - She's the only one in the gals category whom I like the most. The way she sung Thoodhu Varuma shows her caliber and the way she can adapt to any style

Almost all others are good at melodies but they are not versatile, according to me. I wish atleast one from my list emerge as a winner. But we will watch out for who comes with flying colors. Looking forward for the upcoming sessions.

Out of all these, I started liking Chinmayi's (anchor of the show and the playback singer) voice more than before, after I heard 'I miss you da' from Sakkarakatti. You rock Chinmayee....:) Another good thing is my all time favorite MKB has quit the show since he got a chance to sing in a movie. I guess I am good to be in a judge's seat...Wat say? ;)

Browsers

I feel sick out of this IE and so does some of my friends. After I got this laptop, I have never been successful with IE. Whenever I open a session and close it..It'll say 'IE has currently stopped working. Check MS windows for solution'. I thought I did not install it properly and tried so many times like Ghajini Muhammed but failed miserably and hence stopped using it. My roomie had the same problem and some of my friends say the same thing. I don't know whether it's a vista thing or an IE thing but I switched to Mozilla and now trying the beta version of google's Chrome. Though I have installed chrome and wanted to use it few times to see its features and functionalities, my fingers automatically clicks on Mozilla once I log into my system. I did try using Chrome 1 or 2 times and I feel these two things are useful: 1. Autocomplete - which prompts with the webpages as and when you type 2.History - Page that appears on your screen everytime you use it. There may be flaw sides of Chrome too but did not dig enough to write it here.

Friends...

It's not about Pheebs or Joey or Chandler or Monica or Rachel from the FRIENDS serial although I am watching it daily. It's been a while I was out of touch with my friends and I was thinking when and how am I going to get back to it. There bloomed a situation - My B'day and there I go. Almost all my friends called and wished me. I was so glad and felt good that day. And all of them are back in the same track and emails started floruishing - Tats a good sign when you feel aloof :)

Passion

I keep talking about passion but what does it mean to me? Answer is just a one liner.
Love for something keeps me doing it but passion keeps me doing it again and again without losing the love for it anytime :)

My recent favourites...

'Kabhi Kabhi Aditi' from Jaane tu Ya Jaane Na - I know it's a favourite song of almost everyone who has heard it recently. Ahem...I too fall in that category. Although the drum beats at the background sounds similar throughout the song, I feel it gels with the song very well and the guitar strings sounds very mild. The song is awesome to listen and in the visual too. When you are down sometimes, just listen to this song and you will feel like 'Everything gonna be okay' as the song says :))

One another song which has stolen many hearts in both ways
- the way it's sung and shown in the visual and in the top list of my recent favourites collection is 'Kangal Irandal' from Subramanyapuram - I love it! I could see a face full of expressions in the heroine which couldn't have been done any better than this. Only few songs in the latest movie genre can find a place in your favourites and stay there for many years. This could be one such song :) The singers are new faces (atleast to me) Belly Raj and Deepa Mariam and they have done a great job. Kudos to James Vasanthan for a great music score and a beautiful song.
